Wednesday, June 3rd, 7 PM    Over the years you've heard me rave about the wines produced by Dr. Stew Lauterbach.  His estate Pinot is some of the most amazing and long lived of California.  There's no other readilly available California Pinot Noir offering a six vintage vertical, and boy do these wines develop with time.  I could really go on and on, but see the press release below and make your way to Tom Power's restaurant Corduroy tomorrow evening.    - Burnie Williams of Chat's Liquors    Save the Date....   A very special WINE DINNER next week with Stew Lauterbach, proprietor of    Lauterbach Cellars. Stewart Lauterbach isan emergency room physician who  happens to own a tiny vineyard next to Martinelli.  His Pinots were made by none other than Dan Goldfield (of Duton Goldfield Ranch) while his Syrahs were made by Pax Mahle (of Pax Wines).   Combine that with the fact that he only  makes about 100 cases of Pinot and 50 cases of Syrah annually and the mind boggles!   A truer garagiste does not exist!  We will probably taste two or three different vintages of Pinot with dinner.  As always, the wines are readily available for purchase at my favorite wine store: Chat's on Barracks Row.   Wednesday, June 3rd, 7:00PM  Acclaimed chef Tom Power of Corduroy Restaurant will prepare a five course dinner with unique dishes to complement Lauterbach Cellars' Pinot and Syrah from the Tannic Tongue portfolio.  Stew Lauterbach will be present to answer all your most difficult questions.     Reservations required.  $95      Corduroy Restaurant 1122 Ninth Street NW  Washington, DC20001  202-589-0699
